In my other thread about a decorative fig tree Dale (musillid) suggested the Vesuviana.
I had a hard time to find much info about it.

Could you post the leaf and fruit photos, please?
How good are the figs?

What do you know about the figs?

Nothing on the fruit.......a friend sent it to me in a group of cuttings late this spring.  He had got it from Maggie last year.   Had forgot already about the picture so your reply reminded me, will go take the picture now but I just planted this one about 8 weeks ago so it is pretty small.  At first I thought it was going to croak but now is recovering and growing.  I have a second one in a gallon pot if that had happened.  That one is now spoken for though.  

It is the smallest of the 20 or so plants I put in ground out of that batch of cuttings.  After planting it I thought it had died but then a shoot came up from below ground level.


 

The leaves quickly become big, luxuriant and uniform, dressing out the tree nicely.
