I have J. Turkish emerald. It is a good variety to have- at least for me. It survived this past winter in ground and has a nice main crop fig growing on it. My friend, Jay got that variety years ago from Cappadocia. I have not tried any of the fruit, yet, so can not comment on the taste. I can comment on the fact that it is extremely vigorous when it comes to rooting. Even a bonehead rooter like me feels like a champ when it comes to rooting this variety. I also air layered one this summer and within 2.5 weeks, it had a huge root mass. I have seen the pics of the fruit large like an egg and green with red interior. I just don't know about the taste. I will post with pics and comment on the taste when the time comes.
