Summer solstice 3 weeks ago.
I been seeing all these nice pictures of ripe figs from southeast states and south west states keep em coming please i can imagine the taste just by looking at them on screen ( i wish ) .
Since the summer solstice 17 minutes of less sunlight and less to come , but here near Chicago figs will prevail on my mature trees as they do each year,  and will post pictures when they do ( sigh ) eventually, i go thru this each year with this tease as it started 5 years back on the GW forum seeing pictures what i call early in season of ripe figs, but its nice to see them and will get excited like a child on Christmas morning when i wake up and go outside and see a fig finally swelling and sing "Thats Amore"

Hang in there Martin, your time will come. I just can not imagine such a short summer as you have up north. Here in south Louisiana we have great weather until Christmas some years, at least until November and it starts all over again at the begining of March or sooner some years. I would have great difficulty getting used to your weather and seasons.
