this was on sale for $2 at Lowes
in a 1 gallon container, but very root-bound.
i teased the roots apart, put it in a 3 gal.

it had 3 figs on it. i removed them
I am pretty sure it said "white" something,
but it was *not* "white" 
 Ischia, italian, adriatic, genoa, kadota, texas...

i picked up another one also.
will have to get pics for it.

Looks like a commercial "Back Mission" just by the leaves.  I've got one that has lots of nice growth but no figs. Not cold hardy, not white.  I could definitely be wrong on my ID attempt.

The local Lowe's had Magnolia and Ischia on sale here.  Your leaves might be Magnolia.

Regardless, it is a good buy.

Tight internode spacing and prostrate growth says it is a tissue culture plant.

Since I found 4 cents: 2 cents on Brunswick for the first one and 2 cents on Ronde de Bordeaux for the second one.
At that price, you can't go wrong, so definitively the way to go ! ... while you still have some free space for a new tree ...
I need more land for now ...

Greenman in the first pic there is an interesting leafs. What plant is it?
