When do they ripen in your zone?

JD, it came in a gallon pot and I just transferred it to 3 gallon and snipped the tip because it was just shooting up without branching and fruit. It has started to leaf out and hopefully branch out. Also, LSU 156 came in the same shipment. I will send a PM as soon as I get a ripe fig.

LSU Scott black or LSU Purple are not the same with LSU Black.

Hey Marius, great looking fig. Can you ID this one? It was bought as something else and I've been calling it LSU purple after comparing it to other online pics? Thanks for any info!

Chris, looks like my LSU Purple, even the other trees named something else but really LSU Purples, all have produced fruits in abundance, all look alike, leaf and fig.

Thanks Wayne, i thought so but wanted to make sure! Great fig for your area,it grew very fast and produced like crazy but did not survive last winter:( . I have two back up air layers that I made ,thank God but still very small,only 5 figs last summer. Let's see what happens this year!

By the way I just realized that pic one and pic four of my previous posting show the same branch! First on the mother tree and second in its own pot( one of the air layers)!
