Met lots of nice people at lsu fig field day today, had delicious figs and seen andys (brackishfiggers) frankenfig!

The Frankenfig was just very amazing. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. Even if it didnt have 37 varieties. It would still be somthing to see with two flat levels spread out. You just have to go to the next Frankenfig gathering!!!

Actually it is 39 per my most recent accounting (listed in the last post of the frankenfig thread, along with the date grafted and source).  Many are newly grafted enough to not yet be producing, and others have figs, but are not yet ripening.  There were definitely not that many ripening for y'all yesterday.

Sorry about the delay with posting my excitement. I have been just wore out. It was a great time. Just like everyone has already said it was great meeting up with others that share the same interest in figs and we can geek out together. I was able to add an additional 10 figs to my collection with the generosity of Dr. Johnson. Thank you Andy for inviting us out it was a pleasure meeting you and seeing your craftsmanship and thank you for gifting me with one of your plants. Much appreciated. I wish I would have taken pictures of how big your figs are. Was it the Bronx White ukn we sampled and you told me it was your favorite? I have to agree. Excellent fig!

Looks like y'all had a great time.  I have a couple questions about the Frankenfig.  What would you say has been the most successful grafting technique you've used to date?  Also, what time of year seems to be best for grafting?
