One point that Dr Johnson made that I forgot in my initial post.... all the trees were at least 8 yrs old and that the trees had to be the same age to make comparisons, I hope I got that right.

Dr Johnson also told me that the O'Rourke was the "Improved Celeste" as also supported in the notes, LSU Ag Center,

Makes sense to me.  So many variables in fig comparison.
