Although it made a might split today, it was still tasty. Little on the melon side and not to sweet. About a 7.
Mike,Thanks for posting pictures and commentary.Here's a picture of an LSU Gold from a 1 Year old tree. Due to the cold weather it did not ripen with any "heat", but it was still sweet with a surprising amount of seed crunch but no nutty taste. I am almost certain that with warmer temperatures it would have been much better.
Pete, thanks for sharing your LSU Gold pics. Yes, without some real heat a lot of these figs just dont ripen. I am afraid this one might be a big time splitter here but I will give it a chance.
