My LSU Gold figs are getting ripe, soft thin skin, large fruits very tasty, a 7 out of 10 on taste. I think this will be a keeper.David Bowling Green

David--how old is the tree? Is this the first year it has produced for you? Beautiful fruit.
Hi Ken, the fig tree is 3 years old and this is the first year it has produced. Thank you for your interest.David Bowling Green
Very nice pics I have an lsu gold that I started this year from a cutting I had gotten from Herman and it is growing like a weed it is allready 4 feet tall I can't beleive how fast it's growing.
It's interesting to see a pink flesh on LSU. Most that I have seen have an amber interior. Still looks very good.
Color varies with climate and soil, etc. Sweetness and flavor very much affected with temperature, as well, in my experience.
