LSU Gold figs - are these ready to be eaten?

What do y'all think? Good to go or another few days? They're getting pretty soft.

Congratulations!

The stem of the fruit still looks stiff, I usually wait till the fruit droops down and touches the branch.

I found one fig that looks to be at a similar stage of ripeness. I am going to wait 3 more days until I pick this one.

No no lol still not ready. I have about 40 figs on mine. They are not ready either. You have to wait till they droop and have a few sugar spits on them or they will be very disappointing to you. Trust me wait. Example pics ( gypsy gold )

Oh wow, quite a ways to go then. These will be the first figs from a plant I've grown. All I know at this point is how to eat them.

Well, one decided not to stay on the tree and I went ahead and pulled the other. They kind of tasted like a spiced plum if that makes sense. Not bad!
