LSU GOLD (NOT)

After waiting for weeks for some of the main crop to ripen, I got to taste one today. Mild on  the fig taste, very sweet and moist. Hopefully some of the 50 or so I have on the trees will ripen and allow me to enjoy them. I'm still rating it a keeper. Next year I will watch it closer to see if the first ones to get ripe are breba now that I know what to look for. Here's a couple of pictures of the one I ate. Notice the honey in the eye and the closed eye. I forgot to include something to judge the size with, but I can say that a quarter would not cover the amber part of the fig.

It closely resembles my Kadota fig. By chance where did you obtain your LSU Gold? Just curious.

That sure looks similar as to a Wht unknown I had last week. If you get a chance can you post a pic of the common leaf. Nice looking fig by the way especially for a young tree.

Looks a lot like my Lemon, as well. Buy, hey, if it tastes good and produces, the name isn't all that important. I have more than one in that category.
