Some of you may not have seen some of the lesser known LSU figs. Here are a couple of pictures of the LSU Jack Lilly fig. This fig is sweet and very juicy. In fact; it is so juicy, you don't eat this fig.......you "slurp" this fig and probably could slurp it up right through a straw. The fig in the photo was not quite ripe.DanSemper Fi-cus

From the picture it looks like the leaves and fruit are quite small. How large is the tree? Is this a good variety for growing in a container?
Jack lily is a medium to large sized fig. They are about the same size as LSU Gold. The variety is quite productive. My in ground 7 ft. tree was killed to the ground this past winter......only one tiny little branch made it. However, new growth is coming up from the roots. I have no idea how this tree performs in containers. Not much information is available on this particular cultivar.DanSemper Fi-cus
