During the Fig Field Day I asked Dr Johnson who was Scott?
Scott was a guy from Michigan that was a friend of Dr O'Rourke who used to come down and help out.

As Paul Harvey used to say...."Now you know the rest of the story"

But I read even a Scotts black might not be an LSU?

The Scott's Black is the fig with the RED interior.  No doubt!!  The Black without the Red center is questionable in my mind but the Scott's Black with the Red is for sure.  The rights to this fig have been negotiated with outside companies competing for the rights.
