Lucca White Unk

Here is a fig that was given to me by one of the local members. It's from Lucca, Italy.
It sort of reminded me of the Grasa Adriatic. (I will have to compare the leaves.) This is a good one. As told to me by the owner. It was really sweet and juicy. A keeper for sure.

This one isn't as good and rich as some of the dark figs. But it's surprisingly good for a white fig breba. It's nice and refreshing, due to it being very juicy, sweet, and such a large fig. I'd give it a 6 or 7.
This was the first fig that I wintered in my garage to ripen. Gonna be a keeper!

Art,

Is it really that green when ripe, or is that an artifact of the camera?

Very nice. Still waiting on my brebas to ripen.

Does it have a main crop?

Hi Art.
That's a beauty!Enjoy.

Yes, this bad boy is that green.

Matt, I was told it does have a main crop. My tree has some main on it. I will see if they drop or not.

It's your Lucca day!
