That looks great!

Which type of cheese is that? It does look very good.

Very nice looking plate !

Dam! So near yet so far.

O.K, it is about 11:00 pm here in Tampa, dark outside. I log in and what pictures do I see. Instant hunger. I went back outside using a flashlight to locate a couple of Celestes and a Monstrueuse that I knew were almost ripe. You know, at the state of just one more day. Yep, I had to have a snack after seeing those photos. Now wondering what to have in the morning. Thanks for the photos FMD.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Soooo delicious looking. Plesae help me to celebrate Canada Day with a load of fresh figs send this way. LOL.

Now that's a snack!!!!

Thank you for the photos!

Big Thumb Up!

I wouldn't waste my time.
Through the teeth, over the gums, look out stomach here it comes.

30 more days.. 30 more day.. i'm just keep counting.

30 More days of what? 24hrs of Martha Stewart? Be more specific bro.

30 more days until i can have my figs for eating. wait. i had one VdB breba, but it went down too quick to even take picture of.

Pete,

Just messing with you.

The combination of fig sweetness, the savoriness of cheese and the crunch of crusty bread grilled hot is incredibly good. I think this will be a staple of mine during fig season.

Here are some more generic mouth watering images to drool over.

Looks GOOD Frank.
Are those Celeste? I also echo Brent's comments, what type of cheese is that?

Now he's teasing us.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the cheese.
Laughing Cow cream cheese and an Irish type of cheddar cheese were used, but I bet even Cheese Whiz would taste good in this recipe.

Yes, Jimmie, the figs in the sandwich are the celestes from the huge tree in the back 40, which are probably being pecked at by the mockingbirds as we speak. 3 of the whole figs are NJ Reds.

Frank,

Any chance you can tell us how it would taste with some ICE COLD Grolsh?
Do you think it will go well with some lager? Maybe a Foster?

I haven't had a beer in a month and half. I have less than a week to go with the meds.

Lunch? I think any of those would make a fantastic breakfast - Whole grain toast, a smear of tasty cheese, figs, a drizzle of sweet...

Rafed, EVERYTHING goes better with a nice cold one... but, to be absolutely sure, when I get home from work tonight I'm gonna make myself another grilled fig-cheese sandwich adding a few thin slices of prosciutto this time and chase it down with a chilled Sweetwater 420.
And because I am such a nice guy, I'll have a second  Sweetwater thinking of you. I hope you appreciate the hard work I'm going through to answer your question. :))

Gina, breakfast, lunch dinner or midnight snack. It's figalicious! You know what they say, "the stomach wants what the stomach wants." or was that the heart?

Frank,

You are a true Gentleman.
Since you will be doing this at home and there's no risk of driving afterwords then don't feel obligated to just having one.

Please, by all means juggle down a few more.

BTW, is that a local brew?

Frank, that looks outstanding!!!
May I suggest you try adding a single (very thin) slice of Parma prosciutto on one of next fig sandwiches and let see how much it adds....?

BTW
Most publix's that carry Boars head brands will carry the Parma prosciutto...

I will definitely look for the Parma brand prosciutto at our local Publix, Ben.

Rafed, Sweetwater is a local Atlanta Brewery.  Next time you are down South, you should try one.
