Mére Véronique and Miel du Portugal

This is the so called Mére Vèronique from Lubera (i assume Lubera is the source), looks like a Dorée.
Leaves are deeply 5 lobed, fruits are elongated, with brown skin and reddish pulp, sweet flavor.

This is a variety purchased under the name Miel du Portugal. The site of the nursery where i purchased this plant shows a picture of a reddish fig, but this is a white fig.
After some research i found that this plant came from a nursery located in France, that stokes the italian nursery.
In my opinion is very similar to Dottato or Pingo de Mel, leaves are 3 to 5 lobed, fruit has green/yellow skin and amber pulp, very very sweet.
The french nursery sells also Dottato.
I hope it's another variety because this plant was expensive and i don't like to spend money with a variety that i can find a step away from home or i have already!
In the following pics is shown a fruit with black stained skin.

No ones likes to waste money, so I hope its the plant you wanted.

Hi Fico,
A ripe fig is always good to have !

Pingo de Mel is not one particular strain but a family of strains of green-yellow figs that should drip honey when ripe.
I myself have two different strains ( I have a third but waiting for it to fig ). One has a light breba crop (but may have a better earlier maincrop) and the second has an heavy breba crop ( but perhaps a late and light maincrop).
Those two strains are still under evaluation by me in my locales. For now, the one with the heavy breba crop has my preference.
So for yours, the best is to test it by yourself in your locales...

Thanks!
This plant (Miel du Portugal) is strictly unifere, plus fruits are small, though very good.
Here most of the fig trees for sale have false labels, than you really don't know what you have bought until you see first fruits.
With plants purchased on the Internet, usually, this does not happen, so i'm disappointed.

Jdsfrance do you have a Dorèe?
Do you find similarities with Mère Véronique?

Hi Fico,
Is your MV tree in a pot ?
The figs resemble the ones of my dorée, but the leaves seem too different . If your tree is in a pot, this could explain that.
From memory, my dorée are honey/amber inside, and don't have strawberry stains ... You posted the pics of just one fig, so not easy to compare.
For info, my dorée maincrop are still green. My trees are in ground.
Mine had 5 brebas. Does your MV produce brebas ? They don't produce that many brebas, unfortunately .

Yes Jdsfrance,

the plant is in pot. I have also Dorée and have leaves a little different, more similar to Dalmatie.
The pulp is red because is caprified, this fig had very hard seeds.
This plant is 1 year old, has not yet produced brebas and i don't know if does.
