Madeleine des Deux Saisons

How do you guys rate this fig?
I would like to get some cuttings if anyone have some extras to spare. I wonder how well it will grow in the northeast.

thanks.

Bass,

Have small plant, but no fruit, yet. Will have to check on wood (raining today - so not checking much of anything).

Thanks Jon,
I heard you guys are getting lots of rain. hopefully no sink holes this year.

They started on Wednesday morning by saying "5" over the weekend starting on Thursday morning". So far we have 1/2" which started wee hours of Saturday morning, and not looking like much more than that.

The storm was much hairier in Northern California. A banana friend in the delta area had 3-4" in a couple hours yesterday alone.

Have a small one that fruited first time. Like the Brunswicks, it seems not
very well suited for here in the NE - it tends to spoil very easily.

Next year I will place it in a hotter/drier place (e.g., driveway) and if it does
not behave, it is history.

In other words, so far, I think that (good/moody/bad - lady) Madeleine fig
(like the Brunswicks and more-so) may be better suited for the opposite
diagonal end of  the  NE-USA (warm humid summers; cold winters),
aka,  somewhere  in SW-USA (warm to hot summers; wet winters).

George (NJ).
