Madeleine des Deux Saisons pics

Here is a picture of my Madeleine des Deux Saisons.  This is an interesting little tree.  The tree spreads out like a spider plant.  It's in its second crop now.  The fruit on this tree can fool you!  The bottom half is red but the top half is light green.  You have to pick it when it is half and half.  I learned the hard way after one bird pecked the bottom just before I picked it!  It has amazing red pulp and strong sweet flavor.  I got mine growing in superroot pots and it is doing fine.  This tree also loves the heat!

Those MdDS figs do not look like the ones I had (b/c micro-climate?)

Aslo, my later fruits behaved worse than them Brunswicks (in moist weather -rot).
My mama died, and I do not want it back! (just my humble opinion).

Pierre Baud describes Madeleine de deaux saisons to Brunswick. I can certainly see that.

So far those that resemble and behave like a Brunswick are:
Castle Kennedy
Paradiso Genoa
Rattle snake island
Capitola Long
Madeleine de deaux Saisons.

Anyone can think of anything else?

Sorry Gorgi, but mine are more round shape but look very close to yours.  And my Brunswick fig produced the best crop this year.....totally awesome.  the leaf pattern on my tree is very similar to my Brunswick.

@Bass
Here is an original mail between baud and me some years before (his answers in yellow):
----------------
Is there a significant difference in quality/quantity between Dorree, Madeleine, and Brunswick? MADELEINE DES DEUX SAISONS and BRUNSWICK are similar with a tree bigger than the tree of DORREE
Is there a difference between Brunswick and Castle Kennedy? For me, BRUNSWICK is the same variety as CASTLE KENNEDY.

@Gorgi
The shape of the fruit you show in your link is very uncommon for MddS.
The fruit shown by snaglplus is more typical.

However, these varieties are very winter hardy and productive, but, rain, humidity, and cold weather is a problem. The do split (Brunswick), fall from the tree (MddS), or soure (Dorree).
Dorree is perfect for a climate with cold winters and hot and dry summers.
Very productive, small tree, very sweet and excellent taste.

Dennis,

I am happy for you that both your Brunswick and MddS are doing well
for you, as I mentioned above it could be a local micro-climate thing.

All figs perform well at least at one place on this good earth.

I got my MddS as (2006.RainTree).

~(2-3) years ago, I posted a pic (I think here - but could not find it)
of how really bad Brunwick fruit can spoil/rot when it is wet/moist
(like an on/off drizzling rain) while ripening.

Forget the eye; I think the skin just acts like a sponge; period.
