Ciao Cecil,  Wonderful, Now I know who I am talking to often, you are a very Happy looking person, nothing ugly about your kisser!!! Very interesting.  this will be neat if others post their pics and we can see who we are all talking with.  Your happy face definitely fits your emails and personality.  Ciao

Thanks Maggie,

And I agree on others posting pictures!

Hey Martin,

Your always telling folks not to be bashful, now I'm saying that to you, and others here......show a picture of yourself mister

And to the Guy's and lady's here, lets see you too.

C'moan now......

Cecil, it was a pleasure to talk to you, my son came upstairs and said "dad you have a phone call and he said "To get your Butt up and on the phone"
You look young in your posted picture and your voice matches as well.
Maggie you and Anthony look very nice together thanks for sharing Maggie and Cecil.
OK per Cecil's request here is me next to hardy chicago fig tree minus fruits this year because i root pruned but not the canopy as i wanted lots of fruit well they dropped off because of that most of them.

Well would you all look at that rascal Martin!
Yes Martin, I did tell your Son Vinnie just that! HEHE
PS tell Anna she did good with the camera.;)

Lookin good Marty! Thanks

Cecil

This is quite amazing! This by-no-means is a Mr/Miss
America/Universe contest,
just putting a face between old-fig-friends.
Here is mine (I'm in the middle), fall 2006, at and just
before Belleclare for-ever-closed-shop. To my right is Bill
and to my left is Chris (The Figman), aka., the famous
DiPaola brothers.
Since then I gained some weight, mostly around the belly,
where else; enough that I now needed a 'next' sized jeans/shirt...
Pics were taken first time using my cell phone
(after wishing I had brought a camera for that unique
occasion - then I remembered the feature off my CP).

For all of you still very confused (rightly so) about uploading pics:

Copying/pasting  'IMG Code' from my photobucket server:
Or just upload your image (sized-limited) directly from your
PC - check the 'Manage Attachment' button while posting.

[NOT possible on the other GW/FF?!]

[For GW/FF (different) copy/paste the 'HTML Code' off
your server.]

As for me, I still do not know how to post small 'icon' pics...

Yes Dan and George

I like this, now we kinda know who the heck we are talking to, maybe more will follow suite!

Thanks Guy's and Girl.

C'moan girls, we have outnumbered you four to one......not good, I'd rather look at the lady's!

Hi Dan,

Now I don't want to start no argument with ya but.........

I'll bet my hat back when that picture was taken you liked Fig...ures

HEHE

Ciao everyone,  I just decided to sit down and take a rest and see how everything is on f4f and little did I know I would see all these handsome guys!!!  Never in a million years did any of my minds eye match!!!    Cecil, Martin, George and Dan, you are all such nice looking people. This is alot of fun. Now I know who I'm talking too, what a good thing to start, good for you Cecil!!! Good to all the participants so far. Ciao Ciao  Thanks so much Cecil for your nice comments.  Ciao

Well this is certainly an interesting idea. I have enjoyed meeting people that I have met via this forum when I have traveled these past couple of years. It is interesting also to see a photo of who you are communicating with. Prior to seeing a photo or meeting someone, it is interesting what we think a person may look like, etc. I'll offer a photo of me next to some container grown figs that I posted on another website. I built this site for our local fruit growing interests, but there is a lot of information that may be useful otherwise. There may be some links on the 'Resources' page that might be useful, especially the "Fruit and Plant Info Sites" and the "Mail order nurseries" section.

Hey, Dan. Here is my pix before I liked figs! ;-))) One of those "boomer" babies.

HAHA

I really appreciate a good sense of Humor!

Jon, would definitely have one of those :))

Now, I'm off to get a baby picture of me taken during W.W. 2

for you youngsters that would be "World war two"

Oh yes, (we all started little) and that cute little baby has since then grown very famous as...
http://www.ediblecommunities.com/sandiego/pages/articles/fall08/fallHarvest.pdf

I second that!

Dan, dig a little deeper, that would be 1952. Also, my grandfather had a "Rotoette" Rototiller, somwhere between a Horse and Pony in the Rototiller sizes of today, which I inherited. I have a Horse, c. 1982, but it hasn't been out of the garage in 3-4 years. I was down to planting corn with it, and it was easier just to do it by hand. Everything else is mulched, so no need for a tiller.

Yes, I have been gardening, or at least in the garden with my parents for that long. I can't remember ever not being in the yard, mowing, weeding, planting, hoeing, watering, raking, shoveling, harvesting, etc.
