Ciao! Thanks Martin for posting. I wanted these pixs here as this is first year in ABUNDANCE of these particular large figs. I have never really had this many of these and I wanted opinions as to ripeness. I usually judge by softness and hangman neck and color but with these varieties I am unsure and also these are larger figs which I am not particularly used to. Would these be representative of ripes fruits. Corleone was very good, also must post pics of insides. Atreano was somewhat more "BLAND" It tasted good, but it was more watery to my taste. I try to never describe much tastes, only sweetness if I can because we all taste things very differently and I always say "taste is in tongue of the beholder". I know this watery factor and less taste, this can happen with larger figs which is why I am not particularly fond of them. I will always keep these varieties as they are not bad tasting, Atreano may get better with times. Yes Herman, this is a main crop figs. My Atreano is descend from the fig Hanc Mathies I believe was his name, brought over from Durazzano, (BN) Benevento. I had very good source of my tree from Dr. Leone. Corleone originate also from Dr.Leone via Belleclaire via Gorgi I believe, Thanks for impute! Ciao
