Look what I got in the mail today! HC from Hirts and the awesome thing was they put in a heat pack to keep her from getting too cold on the trip.

Congrats!

That's a big plant compared to what they usually send.

It is much bigger than what I got, but my HC from them did just fine along with a Magnolia. I would order from them again. Just don't expect to get something that's going to produce in the near future.

Very nice plant.

Jeff,

You never know with figs. You're saying this now but you just might be lucky to sample something from it this season.

Good luck

I was surprised too when I opened the box. Those guys are awesome. Would you guys recommend potting it in the one gallon now or wait a few months?

That's up to you. Won't hurt it either way. But if you want to give them more leg room then now is the time.

I myself up potted my Blue Ischia I got from them last week.

Cooper, very nice look plant. I would move it up if it were mine. HC can really take off.

Sitting pretty in her one gallon pot.

Nice tree, thanks for sharing.

Best,
Tam

Very nice!

Thanks! Now if I can just keep it alive. I've never grown anything more substantial than an avocado seed before but you guys are showing me the way. I appreciate all the good nuggets of info.

Looks just like the hc I got from them a few years back. They do take off. Keep an eye out for a nice place that gets lotsa sun in the yard. You may get fruit this year. For sure next year. This is a good one for our area, never protected. Mine for winter and its been one of my best producers.

Thanks Dave!  I have a pretty sweet spot on the south-southwest side of the house that gets plenty sun shine that I think will do nicely.  Now I just need a couple more really cold hardy varieties and I'll be all set.

Get ahold of me in summer might be able to help ya out

Sounds good Dave, much appreciated.

Nice size tree Coop...good luck with that one...here's hoping for a great growing season.

Thanks guys!
