main crop starting on 3 month old Black Madeira

better camera makes difference.. i'll be knocking this off too. you can see the other one that i knocked off at the back.

Looks good, hope it does well this winter and produces some nice figs for you next year.

I'm going to pass on BM, and stick with varieties that are confirmed NJ good growers.
You certainly have a green thumb and now an expert photographer lol.

it seems NC is good for the figs, at least where i am. BM is doing lot better than i expected. if they survive the winter, i should have 4 BM.. 3 that i rooted from 1 cutting from UCD. and one which i'll be air layering in the spring.

3 months? It is pretty fast.

yupe.. and i waited 3 yrs for figs on Kathleen's Black. from UCD cuttings, i have figs on Black Madeira, Ischia White, and Calvert. they are all 3 month old cuttings. i'm knocking them off since they are so young, but it give me hope that i'll get to taste them next year.

Hope I can get BM next March. :)
