What do i make of it you ask ?

Unfortunately my monitor does not have the taste feature yet. ; )

Hard to say without seeing the leaves in full but possibly a mission type.

Looks like a nice closed eye, fairly small interior cavity and nice colours, can't wait to hear how it tastes.

It looks delicious!  When your friend shows us the leaves maybe we'll have a name for it.  :)  If not, add that to the list of cuttings I hope to get from you!  :)

Mission has pink pulp not red.

Looks like Negronne but leaves will help with the indetification.

Can you get a picture of the plant fully leaved?
