Collected from Allentown, Pa from an Italian grower. It has a hint of Mission, Vista, Maltese falcon, and  Negronne. Excellent flavor. 

The leaf in the fig picture does not look like it has any lobes. Is that the main leaf type?

How big is it? Is the eye open, closed, sealed?

Not all the leaves are lobed, most of them are like the one in the photo.
JD, it's the size of a main crop Mission fig. Not a very large fig, but it's a good average size. It has a very tight eye.
Bob, It's not all about sweetness to be, it's about flavor you know what I mean. This was very sweet and good tasting.
I will try to get more info on how it is being protected during winter, but the area where it was grown is an old neighborhood with brick homes that are attached, which means it has a good micro climate. 
It was named Malone after the grower's name.
