Small to medium size fig with a lot of punch. Sweet with a nice thin and tender skin. It has the flavor of a sweet date to me. I give this one a 9.

I've heard of a lot of Black Missions that don't do well in the South, so I'm pleased to hear of success!  Is it in the ground?

Looks good! Mine didn't make any figs this year but it grew like a MF. (See what I did there?..haha) I'm hoping it doubles up next year.

edit, reading through this thread a second time I think Rafed already did that. I guess I needed to get here quicker to be clever like that. Now I'm just a copycat :(

Nice looking fig Mike...something to look forward to.
My Maltese Falcon grew a lot this year, but no Fruits...Hopefully next year.

Shah8, my Black Mission did not do well and it has left the house. Maltese Falcon is NOT a Black Mission.

I know, I traditionally think of it as something close to Black Mission, and that dates thing just made me fondly remember what a good BM is like.
