I decided to remove the air layer after finding that the root mass was dried out. I soaked it for a couple of hours before potting it up. I kept it in the cellar overnight and it seems to be taking the transition OK

great video on the Maltese Falcon airlayer, I'm doing the same with mine just so that I have backup in case we have another winter like last year. I'll probably end up removing the figs when I cut it to help the roots get going faster.

Thanks Guys. I kept it in the cool cellar over night but left it out all day today in partial shade and it's doing fine and it was around 89F. Tomorrow it's suppose to cool down somewhat.
