One of the fig sites linked toin another thread said that Marabout needs a wasp to polinate.  The other places I've seen this fig never mentioned it.  I need to know ASAP 'cause I requested one and need to cancel it if it needs a wasp.  Thanks.

Just now I looked for the available varieties of Marabout.  UCD appears to have one called "Marabout" and one called "Marabout C Smyrnay".  I couldn't tell from the information available on the UCD website which if either one is Common type. 

Pen, you say that MaraboutC is common type, but if so, it seems strange they would put "Smyrnay" in the name.  I happened to order this one in November, and there are no wasps where I live, so I don't want to waste my time rooting it. 

So if anyone can say for sure whether the one whether the variety called "Marabout C Smyrnay" is Common or Smyrna type, it would be helpful.  Thanks
