March brebas

For you in the frozen north-- these are the only brebas I have on now, but at least there is the promise of some figs.

Celeste does put on brebas, but they will shortly drop off. They also seem to be on a longer stem than the other brebas.

This is the first year for Violette de Bordeaux. It's interesting to see that they are already reddish.

Nice pictures Scott, nothing here yet mine are still asleep.

Vista Black Mission (AKA VdB at UC Davis) definitely colors up long before ripening, too.

No problem. Those in the frozen north are already enjoying luscious "Black Mission" like black ripe sweet figs. They are in pint size boxes, OK price, almost fresh, no mold this time even though they traveled from Argentina. The taste will be remembered until it is time to bring out our potted stored fig plants out in the open to leaf out.
