Marseilles black vs,Breba!

yeah 35-40 is ideal I made the mistake of bringing a few of them inside and I left them in my basement and they came out of dormancy too early and it seemed like the plants growth cycle was thrown all out of wack.  My garage has no heat but it is connected to the house by a breezeway that is also unheated but I'm sure the heat from the house radiates into the garage keeping the trees warm.

Herman, my 3-4 yr. old tree, I started from your cuttings did not yet hold any breba figs yet. I have been eating ripe main crop for at least a month or more. Very tasty figs. Holds up in the rain, too. Thanks for making this great variety available.

Here are my 2 trees now:
There are pixies showing fruits at bottom, touching the ground, then pix at top showing fruits, after that tree #1 and tree #2.
Both trees are loaded from soil line to top.
I counted the small branches I took pixes and each one has 9 fruits or more.

That production seems excellent.  Marseilles black vs is definitely on my 'want' list after all I've read.

Hi all, wondered if there was any updates on the breba crop of MBVS ?

I did get a couple this year and probably would have gotten more if I wouldn't have pruned my MvsB so heavily. It seems to me that the main crop tastes better but I might have harvested the breba a little early due to bird pressure.  Mine gets just 5-6 hrs of direct sun per day but is still very productive and excellent tasting.  I should know more about breba next year barring another horrendous winter.
