Marsellies Black vs 7-27-14

A medium size, in ground fig with good berry flavor and the right sweetness. Updated on 8-11-14. It with stood the rains really well. No splitting or becoming watered down. I have two of these and they both are very good. It does not have any crunch which I do like a little of. The peeling has a little sweetness about it also. I give it an 9.

Great looking fig.....I can almost taste it..

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a good one! Thanks for the pics.

Next season for me, can't wait!

Nice job, can't wait for mine!

I can hardly get to my tree, but I see one unripe fig on it.  Why we put it where we did is a mystery!  It seems happy though.  It's a slip slide down a pine needle covered slope to get to it.  Bad planning.

Thanks for the preview of good things to come!

Very tasty fig, thanks for sharing.

Looks good, can't wait till mine are ripe but they have a long ways to go.

Suzi, you should do something to make some steps of sorts on that slope. I do a good deal of traversing on pine needle slopes each year, and I take a couple falls each year because of it. The law of averages will occur when you have a nice bowl of figs you just picked. This happened to me one time in Washington with a big bowl of blackberries in my hands.

Looks great, can't wait to try mine maybe next year. Was this main crop fig ?

Luke, this was a breba.

Looks and sounds great Mike.  Maybe I will get to try one this year.

Good to hear!
My in-ground MBVS is loaded but still probably over a month out.

Very nice fig!

It looks like it could have dried on the tree. I know that fig was good. MVSB is high quality and extremely productive in 8B.
