Mary Jane fig

Ciao all, I just received some cuttings from a very good fig friend here. I got the requested Ficazzana and Natalina, but he threw in an extra ( which I thought was very nice)  Its called a Mary Jane.  I never heard of this figs.  Does anyone have any information on this.  I just checked Jons' wonderful site and found Mary Lane, Is this the same fig?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Ciao Ciao

What's the odds of having a fig named Mary Jane, I really think it's misspelled. I big possibility it's Mary lane.
I would wait until i see the fruit and compare it to mary lane. if it's different, well we have a new fig.

I do have a (potted) Mary Lane (2005.UCD22) specimen. In spite
that the plant still shows heavy signs of  (leaf) FMV, it is somewhat vigorous
and on the bushy side. The  few figs I got were on the more-sweet-scale part.

Very nice tasting figs. I always knew them as one that was recommended for Coastal California, i.e. for cooler, foggier, shorter seasons. I was pleasantly surprised that they are a very quality fig in a regular climate, as well.

I talked to whom I got it from, it is a given name from the tree of a friend. He will Identify it and let me know what it really is.  It is not the Mary Lane.
