This is an Afghan fig cultivar called Snowflake and for good reason. Now if only it would produce figs.

Truly unique.  Beautiful leaves.

Wow those are awesome leaves, thanks for sharing

I have a 1 year old one also, it looks very exotic.
The thing I noticed compared to my other common cuttings that it has a very thin stem.
It is 1.5 ft tall and thinner than a pencil, grows quite fast though.
It is the same on your end?

I know somebody with this variety,
8 years,  no fruit.

Makes a nice ornamental.

Greenfig, Yes it does have very thin stems. I don't expect figs from this one, I just love the leaves. Maybe try a little bonsai, this is a really cool looking tree.

Those are pretty unique leaves if i may say so.

Should move out west (the tree, at least!) to see if the climate is more conducive to fruiting. :)

Wow, looks like a curly kale gone wild. Fantastic!

Those are nice leaves.

The bonus would be if it produced dark figs with a bright red center.

Harvey,
Mine is in Los Angeles, moving further west would put me in the Pacific Ocean ! :)
I don't think the fig will appreciate my efforts.

So, I will stay here and wait for the fruit!

My comment was directed towards Barry but you could try moving yours up north where the summer days are longer. :)
