Yes, with your weather and long summer you should enjoy some fruit this year. It looks good and healthy.

Hi Sal
thats a very cute plant you have there.
I predict about a dozen ripe ones in your area and i want to see pictures this season please.  ; )

Sal, yours is looking better than mine, which are slow budding out. I guess, it's a little warmer there than here? Hope you get to taste some this season.

Sal that's a healthy looking specimen. Hope you get to taste at least one. A dozen would be better. "gene"

Just an update about 45 days have pssed and this tree has really taken off and has about 12 little figlets on it. Very strong grower IMO. Some of my fig pics and the tomatos on steroids it seems.

Thanks again Tim

Sal, thanks for posting the updated picture. I must say that you truly have two green thumbs. The garden looking great too---I think the steroids is all that warm sunshine that you have.

Thanks Tim,  The fig is now on the Juice cycle lol

Very nice array of fig plants that look wonderful.

Ciao Sal, what beauty! everything is thriving so well for you. I am quite a few months behind you thats for sure, I miss not looking out the window and seeing this kind of thing this spring/summer, but will be back on track soon. Typical Italian garden, full and lush and meticulously cared for!! Good for you. Ciao

Sal,
I admire your veggie garden.  In the past, I also used to grow some,
before my figs took all-over. My daughter, recently mentioned that
I should go back there. I think she is right. Seriously thinking about
putting about 3 raised veggie-beds in the backyard (still enough time)....

i'm planning to build square foot garden raised beds in the next couple of weeks.  they aren't cheap, but production and ease of care will make it worthwhile.  probably my tables will be 3 feet off the ground, 2.5 feet wide x 12 feet long, 12 inches deep.  still looking for a good source of vermiculite.

Mike,

The last time I looked for Vermiculite, I found the best price to be at a shipping supply company.

Prosource One carries it here You can check if there is one in your area or check local nursery or farm to see where they obtain their Agriculture supplies from

I also used big bails of sphagnum peat moss which home depot carries at times to amend

Sal

i have sevderal bags of sphag, if anyone needs them, pay shipping, it's yours.  i'd rather it go to use than sit in my basement.

Hi,  What is the difference between sphagnum peat moss and shagnum moss?  Which is used to air layer figs?

Thanks,

noss
