Melanzana Breba

I had to pick my lone melanzana breba today because it was starting to split at the eye and we are expecting rain for a couple days. It definitely could have used a day or two more but it was still sweet, juicy, and HUGE. Bigger than a golf ball.

Still looks good. Next time try using small Ziploc bag to protect it in rain until ripe.
I am not saying it from experience but expecting it should help in protecting until ripe (if there is a manageable number of brebas).

Will that really work? I wasn't worried about souring, I was worried about it splitting from the roots drinking too much water. I will try that next time anyways, can't hurt. Even if it doesn't work, it might keep the bugs off it when it splits.
