M-G on the leafs of young plants?

I have some young Fig plants!

Have any of you ever misted the leafs with Miracle-Gro?

I have been fertilizing them with 1/3 solution M-G 20-20-20

And if so, how often can I mist them?

Thanks

Ciao Cecil,  I don't know about Miracle grow, but last week was watching a gardening program on QVC.  They had a wonderful fertilizing spray that you sprayed on the plants and the nutrition wast taken by leaves and from what I saw, it really benefits all kinds of plants.  The results that I had seen on the show were remarkable.  They use it also on Vegetables and fruits.  Maybe if you go to QVC on the internet and look up their gardening stuff, you can find and order it.  I think I may order it if I can find it on thier website.  I can't think of the name, but it is described when you look it up.

I did all my small trees in pots that way the last two seasons. I water first, and let they soak up the water for an hour or more, and them hit them with Miracle-Gro from the hose end feeder/sprayer with the solution at about 1/4 strength. Fed them every week. It was much easier than fertilizing 500 pots through the root zone. No problems, and very good growth. I skip feeding when the weather is abnormally hot and the plants may already be somewhat stressed. I also do not feed newly potted rootings until they have stabilized and show good new leaf growth.

Thanks Jon

I will do my plants the same way.

Cecil,
the stomata absorbs the nutrients and there under the leaves , also its best to do when sun is down as they are more open than when the sun is out to absorb the fertilizer.

Ive read about this but have never tried it on mine.
