Hi all ,

I recieved an older potted fig tree from an old timer Italian pro figster but he doesn't know the variety . So far I've only tried the breba and they are really good . The fruit is the size of a golf ball with a nice sweetness , thin skin , and great flavor.

Thanks ... John
I am too new to identify the fig, but wow it looks delicious. How did it taste?
Hi Sara ,I find it hard to describe flavor . But it tastes as good as it looks .John
very nice looking tree and fruit! Is the last pic of a completely ripe fig?
Hi Ruben , I forgot to take a picture of the cut open fig before cutting it. The other pics were from a fig a few days later . It could have been picked a day or so later . The colour is pretty much the same just some cracks in the skin develop . John
Hey John, that fig looks tasty. Some of my best tasting figs are Italian heirloom figs and I tell you one thing Some of these older Italian gentleman have the best tasting figs for our climate so that is why I never turn them down. I got a plant this year down the street from my parents the breba ripened was outstanding.
Hey Nelson , I picked that fig the day after I passed by and remembered you telling me that often times the unknown figs end up being some of the best. You were right . John
John,Not a true Celeste. Likely it is something else. Need more pics and info to better ID it, but it's not Celeste.
