Anyone grow Milco? This year my 3 gal potted Milco fig tree has a fig already the size of most Celeste when ripe. It has been moved from the well house to my back porch today. I have had it 3 years or so from UCD. It is listed as a fruiting male tree and for me somewhat of a novelty. It is trying to do right, but so far in past years has aborted all its figs.. This year it will get a larger pot and next spring, a spot in the ground in a protected area near the house. The tree in the background is an in ground 4 yr old Patrick Super Giant on the east side of the house. This Spring, Zidi
will find a home near my creek on the sheltered east side of a shallow hillside.
On a more somber note, the passing of Margaret Thatcher, her courage and spunk will be admired andremembered, she was a fearless leader, and will be missed. I liked Pete's note about the baroness thatcher, hits home!!
