You need to realize the size of Etna. I have traveled completely around it. There are lava flows in many places. Some hundred's of year old. When I was in the Navy during the 1960's my squadron made deployments to Sigonella, near Mount Etna. We used to sit outside at night and watch the lava flows. Most were near the top,where no one lives. It would take an eruption like Krakatoa to eliminate the figs. __________________ Jake Zone 8B Crystal clear Gulf of Mexico,White sand beaches,Citrus trees, Large hurricanes,and tornadoes.
