More cuttings

Cuttings Available
  • Jurupa
  • Turkmenistan
It worked out well enough last time, so I decided to offer two more varieties.  I have cuttings of Jurupa and Turkmenistan, in bags of 3 cuttings.  $8.25 for a bag of 3, shipping a flat $5.75. Each cutting has at least 3 nodes, most have more.  Any small cuttings I throw into bags as "extras", so some bags have a smaller fourth cutting.  Again, email only, and I'll send a reply email to let you know details.  Let me know the variety (or varieties), and do include your email address too.

Packaging and shipping details:  I'll package them in ziploc bags, dry (no moist paper towel or moss).  This is how Maggie (Mediterranean Flora Gardens) packages her cuttings, and I've had good success with hers.  The cuttings do fine and don't dry out for the short time they are in transit, and this reduces the chance of mold and also the chance of damage from freezing while in transit.  Three cuttings to a bag  (or more... some bags have "extras" of smaller cuttings).  Combination of tip cuttings and non-tip cuttings.  I'll ship them in USPS priority mail envelopes only, with tracking number.  USA only, "lower 48 states" only (USA).  Sorry, no Alaska, no Hawaii, no outside of USA... just too many regulations and stuff like that to deal with).

How to request:
  • email only.  Please send me an email (use the email relay on the forum... just click on the email link in my profile, or in the various places where my ID appears).  Please send your name and address, and remember to include your email  address!  (Without that, I cannot easily contact you with details of payment, shipment, tracking info, etc), so please make sure you include it.
  • don't send "private message" (aka PM) via the forum.  I'll ignore PM's sent about this.
  • don't post here in this thread that you want to request cuttings.  Well... er... I mean, you can post here if you'd like, but it'll be ignored in terms of treating it as a request for cuttings.
  • email is the only way.  :-)

Payment:
  • Paypal only.  I'll send you details when I respond to your email.  (Note:  my paypal email address is different from the email that I use for fig emails).

All the usual disclaimers
  • all of my trees have been exposed to FMV.  Assume these cuttings have the FMV viruses.  If this is an issue for you, then don't request these cuttings.
  • I can't guarantee that you'll succeed at rooting.  They're healthy cuttings, and these varieties are not particularly difficult to root, but with so many variables, no guarantee.
  • No returns, no refunds.
  • If something goes wrong with the shipment though, or if there's some other issue, then please do contact me.  I'm a fair person, and if something unexpected happens then contact me by email and we'll work something out.
Mike   central NY state, zone 5a   p.s. Though I'm in zone 5a, I think these two varieties will do better where it's slightly warmer.  There are others growing them in zones 6 - 10.

Thanks for the generous offer., Mike

Nice, Mike. The forum rocks on with offers like this!

Good price Mike, keep up with "more cuttings".

Thanks Mike for the opportunity!

Very nice!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Many thanks to those who have purchased some.
There are just a few left of each variety.

Mike

For those of you watching/waiting for the shipments, I'm still waiting for that "weather window".  (Pretty unusual stretch of consistently cold nights over the past 3 weeks).  If you're not sure what I mean from the emails, the gist of it can also be seen here:

The cold nights look to continue, but they're safe, packaged, addressed, and just awaiting the right "weather window" for shipment.

I'll ship them out as soon as there's a window where the predicted low isn't below 15F for two weeknights in a row.  (Weeknights because of them moving through the mail).
If anyone wanted me to ship anyway despite the cold, let me know by email.   (Odds are they wouldn't be injured, but better safe than sorry is what I had figured).

Mike
