Martin, that picture is so beautiful. Love a plate full of dark colored figs, maybe one or two light ones in there too :)

Thanks for posting the pic.

Great photo Martin. You give container growers hope and inspiration...we just need to (fig) shuffle every so often.

Hey Martin im jealous, I have only been getting one ripe fig here and there and your eating them by the plate? whats the secret?

They look delicious.

Hi Nelson,
the things done in early spring and during season have always helped me and make a difference when they ripen - fig shuffle and placement of pots really help .

My personal challenge is the longer season ones that need more heat like Madeira and Panache to ripen properly.
Hopefully i can post some pictures of ripe figs from them later this season and a little earlier next season as they get more mature and adjust there fruiting.
Time will tell .

Thanks Martin think next season I will start the fig shuffle myself seems to work really well for you.

Hey Martin, I'd bet those were good!  Next time, try this recipe.  Slice and dice some watermelon, spread across a plate.  Next cap and half your figs and arrange on top of the watermelon.  Next place a  few dabs of goat cheese around the figs and drizzle with balsalmic vinegar or pomagrante molasses!

Ciao Martin, Beautiful! I have only had large bowls, not large plates. tomorrow should get good crop. I have had much family and friends here eating my figs, Tis the season and its not over yet! Keep up good work! Ciao
