Most unique fig you own

I'll be trimming the mother tree in Venice Beach in February.
I'll post the date of sharing ritual for Melanzana Calabrese and Sultani.

The bottom line is it's a unique fig and you can't deny it, NOR you can have it! :)

Name calling, that was cute in third grade. I hope you're teaching your kids that. At least everyone can see your true colors.

I said you were caught in a lie because your photo is obviously edited, as per Brent's proof, though you claimed not. It's not the first time, either.

For everyone's record, UNK Sultani and UNK Melanzana Calabrese are not identified varieties. They may be perfectly good figs, but they are NOT named varieties. I do not need them, but I appreciate the hostility, Aaron.

I have better uses of my time, take care and have a good Thanksgiving.

Those pictures are what I had until Brent found older post with better quality.
If you look  they are still same beautiful and ,YES, Unique figs that go through all those color changes.

I am NOT a liar.
Big deal if they were brighter, they are still the same fig.
I know it hurt my eyes too when I look at them, LOL ...but, it is what it is.

Looks just like the pic in my profile. I don't know where that on is.

You don't know where the picture that is in your profile, is? Try locating the shoes on your feet for practice and then take another stab at it.

The image is edited, denying that it is photoshopped is not telling the truth. Contriving an excuse like the one above is not exactly honest either.

So much for this thread.  Would it be possible to get back on track? Please.  Everyone.

Not sure, maybe my Panache branch with variegated leaves or maybe this Syrian Honey with nice leaf pattern (will supposedly become better when it's older).

I concur that this thread should get back on track or end...as the one who originally started this thread back in what...like...June?  I had completely forgotten about it, actually, until it got bumped a few days ago.  There's some cool info in here, but ya'll are arguing.  Online.  It is futile (which probably means so are my attempts to end said arguing).  All the arguments do is troll every single person who is not involved, which is 99% of us.  Please save the banter for private messages.

Thanks,
Brett

On a more positive note, Harvey, that is a gorgeous tree.  I really like the leaves.

I only have four varieties, and I think they are all unique in their own way.  But I do think that the elongated leaf of the Violet De Bordeaux is pretty cool looking.

Harvey,
Panache with Variegated leave? ... is she still continuing the pattern? can we see please? :)

Aaron, yes it has continued, but growth has slowed way down and not much different than the photo I posted a couple of months ago.  I have carefully marked each bud next to a variegated leaf and will attempt to propagate several late next month or January.  I will distribute it freely after I make my first million! LOL

Now THAT's rare I think... talk about mutation. Panache with Jolly Tiger leaves.

The uniqueness is in changes of color during the ripening season, with the taste that matches the looks.
Pretty decorative if you ask me ;)

I am honestly not trying to be difficult here.  We do not have fig growers in our area and I want to introduce them if I can.  I would appreciate some realistic pics of figs to show folks what to expect.  Aaron, come on man, man up and  fess up and contribute some real pics for newbies like me.  I want to promote this wonderful fruit in my area.

Keith,
you should check post #34.
Brent found the original that I didn't have anymore.

Aaron, I am saw that post and don't buy that excuse.  Please don't think I am causing problems or being difficult.  I am in a zone (6a/b)
that would be difficult to grow such a beautiful fig.  I would be willing to do anything to grow a fig that if you if I could get some cutting from you.  I am new at this so help me out here.

Keith,
first of all, if I were you, I would measure the words I use very carefully, when you are talking to someone you don't even know :)
now, unless you provide this fig or many many others that require a lot of heat and sun, achieving what you see will be very difficult..
so, me, now that I know your zone and difficulties of winter and all... wouldn't recommend this variety to you.
Man up, really? LOL

You just lost any trust in you.  How dare you arrogant person tell me how to pick my works. Like out of your own mouth... you don't know me so don't judge me!  What a jerk you are!!!!!!!!!

sooner or later they all show their colors...

If a tree was composed of only leaves like those unique leaves in Harvey's tree, would there be enough chlorophyll making food for it to thrive?

Nice. Really nice.

Very interesting tree, Harvey!  Looks like some kind of gene aberration on that one branch... I wonder if it's polyploidy, or a localized mutation of one sort or another, or maybe a chimera that expressed in that spot only... ok, ok, enough speculation.  I just wonder whatever it is that caused that and how it came about.  Interesting tree!

Mike

Very cool indeed and fascinating.I'll take two cuttings please lol

Harvey you beat me to it lol.

Heres my panache with a branch with variegated leaves
