Moving Out

Here are a couple of pics of my cuttings that I started from around November to Feb using  the baggy method with sp moss. They moved from under the T-5 lights to the screened porch today. They will stay here a week or so acclimating to the outside in shade and then move to filtered sun light. We are suppose have low temps 50 and above from now on. They were up potted from clear cups to the one gallon pots on 4-3-13. They survived all my mistakes, abuse and the dreaded fungus gnats. There are another 40 or so that I used the Root Riot Cubes starting on 4-1-13 and they are still under the lights in one gallon pots for another week or so. Some of them are as big as these.

Nice little fig army you've got going there!  What types?

It sure does feel good to get them out of the house, doesn't it?  I had fungus gnats all over the bins and I know several cuttings suffered.  Most of mine have been outside for a couple of weeks and they're much happier and it shows.

Good job Mike...have the best growing season ever.

Sorry for off topic here. Your floor is beautiful. How did you with this floor? hehe

Vicks, not a problem. I used http://www.ucoatit.com/2011web/main.htm

Great product and easy to use. It is a little pricey.

Good job Mike they look great.

I knew you were doing a wonderful job by the Zidi you sent, now I get to see them all. WOW, congrats!

Good job Mike. I remember a lot of figs around town when I lived there. Thanks for the pics and keep on growing.

Nice to know about the T5's. I've got two Quantum Bad Boy 8 light fixtures that I use for veggies and flowers. Just starting out with cuttings, but I plan to put them under the T5's to get them going after I see roots develop.

nice job mike....keep em growing

good job mike, these look great, good luck with the transition

They look great Mike! Whenever I see a tray or table of 50+ I walk the ipad over and show the Mrs. and say "see, its not just me honey".

Congrats on your success, you deserve a pat on the back for all your hard work. :o)

Mike,

Nice job! Everything is looking good, got an army of figs coming up.
