Thanks.

Navid.

P.S. Tried few times to post the list as a picture but it did not work for me. They are uploaded on the photobucket.

Navid,
Are the links supposed to be different, because they are the same??

I just substituted Page1 for one link and here it is:

18 + shipping right? Louisiana to California = :x

Yes chuckchuck, plant + shipping.  What JR does is you send him payment for the plants you talk to him about on the phone. Then AFTER he ships them to you & you get your package, you send the actual shipping to him.  He is at the mercy of everyone to send the shipping back to him upon receipt.

Right Saramc.
I tried to warn him, but he said he had never been burned. I'm astounded, HE must just bring out the best in folks I guess.LOL
The trees I got from him this spring were healthy and are thriving.
He's a good guy. Hope to meet him oneday.
I finally found someone older than me! Yea!
Dave.

@Dave....when you hear his story, how his fig/plant sales help fund the caretaking for his wife, I think no one DARES to not pay him.  He is just a great guy, and I just LOVE talking to him on the phone.   I look forward to my plants this fall!

I think he raised his prices for figs. He charged me $22 a piece plus whatever the shipping once I receieve them.

@BLB...when I ordered mine in July, I paid $18 vs $22 for what I chose.  And, I let him pick one for me based on where I live.  He picked the Galbun for me, said it is an oldie but a goodie, and he really liked what he was seeing with it, plus he thought it would do well here in Kentucky.  So, we will see.

I ordered Scotts Black and the price was $22 each I sent him a check already. Wonder if he has a different price for certain varieties. I know he has had problems losing cuttings this year and that may be why. Either way, I am ok with the price.

I just placed a 6 tree order with Mr Robin. What a nice gentleman! Can't wait to get these guys in.

Yes Barry---when I ordered in July I had 2 different cultivars that were $22 each, and then a different one that was just $18.   He told me then that he would not have as many plants in 2011 as he did in 2010 because of the failure of a large number of his cuttings (cold spell killed the babies).  He did not give any indication as to WHY the price difference when I ordered, I honestly did not mind....I have heard so many great things about JR and his love for his wife Ms. Betty.

The prices vary. They went from $18-$25 depending on the tree. I wrote down the prices for what I ordered, but they are at the office. I'll post them when I get to my notes.

Hi all, I don't mind the price difference, that sort of thing happens with major nurseries too. And you never get the conversation with a major nursery that you get with JR! He is a very cool guy. That is a trip I would love to make one day, would really like to meet him.

@BLB. I think you will really like those Scott's Black. I  got two figs from one potted up this spring (more are forming) and they were at least as good as any from VdB or Black Jack. And those were the best I have ever eaten.

Thanks Dave, I am looking forward to trying them. Each year more of my trees begin producing and each year I get to taste new varieties. I've read some good things about Scott Black and you are helping to make the case. Glad I ordered them.
