Multiple Figs from One Point

i have this great apparently healthy white fig tree that we inherited with our house.  i prune moderately each winter and the tree is about 10 ft tall.  this year, for the first time, i have multiple fruits (2 or 3) coming from the same growth point on the branches where in prior years i just had one fruit from each growth point.  i am wondering if this is normal, and also if the quality of the fruit would improve if i removed the extra figs from each growth point.  thank you

realtek,
what do extra figs look like, I don't think i've ever saw one!?

thanks for asking, i've attached a picture showing multiple doubles and perhaps one triple.

I might hurt someone if I EVEN thought they were going to remove

those beauty's before they were ripe!

I would not pull them off, I would let them ripen, then enjoy them.

Pretty figs
Thanks for posting the pics.

Best regards & health

I think is is weather or environmentally related. I have seen it every few years and when it happens, on more than one variety. They all ripen just fine. Generally just means a larger crop.
