John you got a superior fig there.
It is not Barnisotte but also is not Brown Turkey.
I have many cultivars, but nothing exactly like thi9s one.
So it is own cultivar.
I wonder how it does if it get ripe while during rainy days.
Here, that is the test.
To ripe and be edible during heavy rain.
I have similar figs to yours:Maltese Falcon,Kathleen Black, but they are much darker in color,on outside.
Burnisotte black is more turbinate with thinner neck.
And the leaves are different. Here is the correct Barnisotte, from UCD.
Also would like to know if you see any pink Leaf stems,or pink growing tips.
The exterior color of your fig fruits can be different in a southern climate and so the outside color of your fruits can't be taken as fact.
I am puzzled to Id this fig,but if it resist rain,it is valuable.
