This big plant is my Guilbeau!

It was a 6" un rooted cutting this Jan.

It has already put figs on, and I knocked them off, thinking it might help it grow......looks like it worked I would say.
PS the only reason that I'm in the picture is to give you and idea how tall the plant is.

That bad boy is the strongest growing fig plant that I have been blessed with.

Cecil lovely looking plant, lol Gene Im telling you talking to them works I did the same with my yellow serbian and its grown over a foot in a month and a half.

I would like to sugest an Ideea:
I think Fig trees that do not ripe in time or ripe late here,would be the best grower in Texas.
I would sugest:Alma,Kadota,DFIC 17brown Turkey,Mission (Texas Strain),Bataglia Green,Green Ischia,Weeping, fig,Sicilian black,Adriatic.
Most of these should like the Sommer,in Texas.

I have an Alma and Blk. Mission, both are alive but struggling with RKN, I planted them before I ever even heard of RKN

I had a nice couple of Kadotas from UCD that were doing good, but they died on me!

And I couldn't agree with you more about the Guiilbeau liking our Texas heat......as you know, I wouldn't have the Guilbeau without your kindness!Thanks

If you legs had been as many miles riding a rough riding 18 wheeler
as those legs of mine has yours would look like mine too!
Besides that I don't have any Italian in me, unless there was an Italian in the wood pile! (some old timers like me might know what I'm talking about!
