This one is good has been good to me thru out the years.

wow! now that is a tree

how old is the the tree martin? trunk must be 3"
is it normal to have so few branches on such an establish tree?

Martin,
I did pick one of these up on clearance at Lowe's (so who knows what I really have?) based some on your recommendation for our zone 6 area in Michigan. It is already putting on some nice growth after its rescue from the box store.
Is the container yours is growing in made of clay, or plastic? Nice looking tree and pot!

i have seen much thicker trunks than this one for sure in a pot.
I bought this in 2004. You ask is it normal to have such few branches on an established tree.

Actually its up to the grower how he wants to make there fig plants look, thruout the years i basically kept it looking this way. I could make taller or make it have more branches if i prefer.

thanks . The pot is plastic i bought some one season and i paid more than normal cause there a thicker type and have not seen them anymore yet. I really like these pots.

I bought one this season from Raintree and I'm not that happy with it. It barely grew unlike others and it has a good case of FMV. I may chop it down and let it bush out. Take the other parts as cuttings and multiply.

But as usual, your tree looks great!

Thanks Dominick.
I never seen the FMV spotting in the leaves of my hardy chicago that i recall although i have have mishapen leaves here and there on plant each season.
