My Chico Strawberry

Here are some update pics of my Chico Strawberry plant, Thanks Sue.

Here is a pic of the plant taken in late april just before I took it to my parents.

Here is the plant now pics taken yesterday July 25th nearly 4ft tall

Very vigorous grower... nice growth... make sure it is well sheltered in winter, usually the green soft growth don't over winter like hard wood growth.

Hey Bass, yes it is very vigorous I have to find a better location for it where it gets alittle more sun to start hardening off. My father and I will be building a heated shed soon to store most of our plants for the winter. My other Chico Strawberry was not able to take a pic as it started to rain cats and dogs has a few figs on it now.

looking good nelson. :).  looking forward to seeing some figs pics later this fall.

Wow Nelson, great job! It must love your climate. I checked on the mother tree last weekend. Lots of figs but a good month or so away from the main crop ripening.
Sue

Hey Sue, I dont believe this Chico Strawberry has any figs on it the other plant I have had about a half a dozen pea sized figs about a month ago when I was at my parents and its more bushy has 3 branches growing out of the main trunk, I will try to take some pics of the other chico Strawberry this week.

I want one but i don't think it will survive the trip to Japan
