Cuttings started either the day before or the day after Dec 25. I used Dip n Grow not because I'm a big believer but because I had it handy. A few back ups were started in Root Riot cubes and glad I did. Seems as if Gino's Black is a very slow starter in 60/40 perlite/potting soil in 32 oz deli containers but a faster starter in Root Riot cubes, go figure.
I start my cuttings in a window that does not get direct sunlight but then transition them in a 24 quart Sterlite container that does get direct sunlight. I taped a couple of plastic coat hangers together to form a tent with a clear plastic bag. After 3-4 days in this set up I start opening the bag slightly to decrease humidity and get the figlets accustomed to lower humidity levels. At this point I put them on the window sill with full sun until they get up potted to a 1 gallon nursery pot. Then I put the 1 gallon pot on a table in front of a window that gets full sun and supplement that with a screw in grow light in a pole lamp.
