Tony sending positive energy, good thoughts and prayer

Tony....

I don't know what to tell you.  You are right.  It is very frightening, and your whole world changes instantly when these kinds of things strike without warning.

I just returned from a nursing home where both my parents reside.  My mom is there permanently, and my father who will turn 92 years old on this Wednesday will be back home, again, with me on this Friday.  He has problems that require me to be near him 24 hrs/day.

I hope your that your dad makes a rapid recovery and can return to his former life.  Prayers for you and your family.  PM me if you need to.  I've been going through this for the last 7-8 years.  It's no joke and it ain't easy at all.

Frank

Sorry to hear about this aweful event. Hopefully it is as transient as the doctors believe. Good luck!

Lost my mom a year ago so I can say strongly that there are only a few things worse than a sick parent

Tony, prayers for Dad and the rest of the family. These type of things can be very upsetting. I ask that you join us in praying for Dad.

Frank, prayers for you too. I pretty much know what you're going through. The last 5 years of my life revolved around taking care of aging parents, my two and Linda's Father. Dad passed first, Mom had to be put in a nursing home when she cracked her pelvic and would walk ever again. Linda's Dad moved in with us so we could care for him. He passed away and then Mom did. There passing left a hole in our lives that we haven't fully recovered from yet.

So prayers for both of you and your parents.
Blessings,
"gene"

I had something similar happen with my dad a few weeks back and my thoughts are definitely with you and your family.

On the plus side when my dad go better one of the first things he asked for were some figs (if nobody else wanted some) so I hope you have the same response from your dad as well.

I'm very sorry about your father's illness. I hope he makes a speedy and complete recovery.

May you enjoy your dad for many years from now on...
(Sadly, I lost mine while in my teens).

My prayers are with yours.

Sorry, Tony.   Praying for a complete recovery.

Sorry Tony , My best wishes for a speedy recovery

Best wishes for your dad, Tony. Hopefully he'll be sitting next to his tree enjoying some ripe figs with you soon.

Lost both my parents and my brother Anthony im all thats left from my immediate family.
Hang in there Tony and hope for the best.

A few more prayers sent your way from CT.

Anthony
Wishing your father fast and full recovery. It is a stressful time for the family and may The Almighty make it easy for your father and his loved ones and lead to full recovery.

Stay positive and strong Tony.

Sometimes a little laughter helps.  The picture of your dad and you eating ripe figs brought back memories of one of my favorite scenes from I Claudius, when the evil Livia, who had smeared poison on the figs outside on the trees, turned to the doctor on Augustus' death bed, and demurely said as she swept out of the room, "By the way, don't eat the figs."

I'm thinking a little shared pizza might be a better choice!

Still praying, and just kidding,

Suzi

Wishing dad will come through, best of luck to your family.

Good luck,
I will tell my mother to have her group add your family to their prayer chain.

Staying strong is the hardest thing to do. My mom is very sick with cancer, she loves to garden, can't even get close to her garden. Every friday on my day off Im over there trying to make and take care of her garden. BE STRONG for your dad will help him out alot.

Sorry to hear that about your Father Tony.

I will say a prayer for a complete recovery for your Father.
Stay stong.
Vito

Tony;

May the hand of God reach down from the heavens, and if it be thy will restore your Father to his good health.  May those that minister to him comfort him during the healing process.  And the prayer's of many be a comfort to you and your family.  Amen
